Get the Files It Makes
Ask the AI assistant for a PowerPoint, an Excel file, or an online presentation, and take the file out of the conversation.
- What you get
- One sentence of request gets you an attachment card, and clicking it gets you a file you can open straight away.
It does not only reply in text — it can also produce files you can download.
Three kinds of things it can make
| What you want | How to say it | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| A slide file | “make it a PowerPoint”, “a deck file I can download and edit” | A .pptx, opened with PowerPoint or Keynote |
| A spreadsheet | “make it an Excel file”, “put it in a spreadsheet” | An .xlsx, opened with Excel or Numbers |
| An online presentation | “make a one-page online presentation”, “give me a link I can view right away” | A presentation that opens in the browser, which you can also download |
If you say “make slides” without saying which form, it will ask whether you want an online presentation you can view right away or a PowerPoint file you can download and edit. Say which one in the request to save a round.
Step 1 · State the request and the content together
It will not guess your numbers. Whatever goes into the file, you either say it out loud or tell it which company document to take it from.
- “Turn revenue of 8.2M / 5.4M / 6.1M for the northern, central, and southern regions into a slide with a bar chart”
- “Make an Excel file with region in column A and revenue in column B, and a formula totalling the last row”
- “Make a one-page online presentation titled Q2 Sales Review, three pages: the conclusion, the three regions’ numbers, and next quarter’s plan”
Slides support a title page, bullet lists, two columns, tables, and bar, line, and pie charts. Spreadsheets support multiple sheets, column widths, number formats, and frozen header rows, and cells can hold formulas. You do not have to memorise any of these terms — describe what you want in plain words.
Step 2 · Wait for it to finish
Producing a file takes a little longer than plain chat, and the conversation area stays on the three bouncing dots.
Step 3 · Take the file from the attachment card (web)
When it finishes, a narrow card is inserted into the conversation:
- An icon on the left: 📊 is PowerPoint, 📈 is Excel, 🖥️ is an online presentation.
- The file name in the middle.
- A row of links underneath:
- 「⬇ 下載」(Download) — on all three.
- 「👁 預覽」(Preview) — only on online presentations; clicking it opens the presentation in a new tab.
Click 「⬇ 下載」(Download) and the file goes to your downloads folder.
If no card appears and instead you get an expandable block starting with 🔧, it means this one did not work. Open it to see why; usually stating the request once more gets it through.
Step 4 · Take the file in Discord / LINE / Slack
The chat apps have no attachment card, so it replies with a download link instead.
- Clicking the link starts the download (an online presentation opens directly).
- The link expires after 7 days. Once it has expired, tell it “the link to that file has expired, give it to me again”.
- While it is valid, anyone who has the link can download it. Do not forward it to a group that should not see the file.
- Copy the whole link — if it gets cut off in the middle it will not open.
After the file is made
- The file is a snapshot and does not update itself. When the numbers change, ask it to make a new one.
- To change the content, say so in the same conversation — “change the chart on page 3 to a line chart” — and it produces a new one.
- Read it through yourself before you use it, especially the numbers and people’s names.
How you know it worked
- An attachment card with an icon appears in the conversation, and the file name ends in
.pptxor.xlsx(an online presentation is a web page instead). - Clicking 「⬇ 下載」(Download) gets you the file, and PowerPoint / Excel opens it.
- What is inside matches what you asked for — the page count, the columns, and the chart types are all right.
- Online presentation: the card has both 「⬇ 下載」(Download) and 「👁 預覽」(Preview), and clicking 「👁 預覽」(Preview) shows you a correctly laid out presentation in a new tab.
Common problems
| Symptom | Cause / fix |
|---|---|
| It only replied with text, no file | The request did not say you wanted a file. Say “make it a PowerPoint file I can download”. |
| It says it cannot produce files | The Agent you picked has not been given this ability. Try 「大腦總管 Nova」(Nova, the Chief Brain), and if that still fails ask your company’s IT contact. |
| A 🔧 block appears instead of an attachment card | This one did not work. Open it to see why — usually the content was described incompletely. State the material you want in it more clearly and ask again. |
| The numbers in the file are made up | You did not give it numbers and it could not look them up either. Write the numbers into the request, or tell it which document to take them from. |
| The link in the chat app will not open | The link was cut off, or more than 7 days have passed. Ask it to produce a new link. |
| Clicking the link says it cannot be accessed | The link has expired. Tell it “give me the download link again”. |
| The downloaded file name turned into a row of underscores | Your browser does not recognise Chinese file names. Try a different browser, or rename the file after downloading. |
| The images or fonts in the online presentation look wrong | An online presentation is one self-contained web page and does not fetch anything from outside. Ask it to make the layout simpler, or ask for a PowerPoint file instead. |
| A file that is not an online presentation has no 「👁 預覽」(Preview) | That is normal — preview is only for online presentations. Use 「⬇ 下載」(Download). |
| The card is gone after I refresh the web page | Conversations in the web app are not kept on screen. The file itself is still there; tell it “give me the link to that file again”. |
