Start a Conversation
Find your company's AI assistant on the web, in Discord, LINE, or Slack, and say your first sentence to it.
- What you get
- You will be talking to the AI assistant wherever you already work, and you will know how to pick from the list on the left of the web app.
The same AI assistant has four ways in. You can use only one of them, or all four.
Before you begin
Your company may not have opened all four. If you are not sure, ask your company’s IT contact: “where do we use our AI assistant?”
The first time you talk to it in Discord, LINE, or Slack, it will ask you to confirm your identity with your company email. That part is covered in the chapter Link Your Identity.
Way in 1 · The web app
Find it
Open the Office Power address your company gave you in a browser and sign in. The top group in the left menu holds the things you use every day:
- 「對話 Chat」(Chat) — where you talk to the AI assistant. This is that page.
- 「我的看板 My Board」(My Board) — your personal dashboard.
- 「Nova App 應用市集」(Nova App Marketplace) — the small internal tools your company has built.
Click 「對話 Chat」(Chat).
Pick who to talk to
A column titled 「AGENTS」 appears on the left. Each row is someone you can talk to: an emoji, a name, and a line of small text underneath saying who it is.
- The one whose small text reads 「🧠 調度中樞」(🧠 Dispatch Hub) is 「大腦總管 Nova」(Nova, the Chief Brain). It is not a specialist in anything itself, but it knows every specialist Agent on the platform, assigns your question to the right one, and brings the answer back to you. You will see a small block reading 「指派 → ○○」(Assigned → ○○) in the conversation; open it to see who it handed the question to.
- The others, whose small text is a job description (for example 「人資助理」(HR Assistant)), are specialist Agents. They only cover their own area, but within it they answer in more detail.
Say your first sentence
Once you click in, the middle of the screen shows that Agent’s emoji and a line reading 「和「○○」開始對話吧。」(Start a conversation with ○○.) If your company has prepared suggested questions for it, a few cards appear below that; click one and it is sent as your first sentence.
To type your own, use the input box at the bottom — its placeholder reads 「傳訊息給 ○○…(Enter 送出,Shift+Enter 換行)」(Message ○○… (Enter to send, Shift+Enter for a new line)). Press Enter, or the 「送出」(Send) button on the right.
While it is thinking, three bouncing dots appear in the conversation area.
If there is not a single Agent in the left column, the screen reads 「目前沒有可對話的 Agent。」(There are no Agents available to chat with.) That means nobody has given you access yet — ask your company’s IT contact.
Change the language and the colours
The avatar button in the top right opens a menu with two toggles, 「語言 Language」(Language) and 「外觀 Appearance」(Appearance).
Way in 2 · Discord
Find it
Go to your company’s Discord server and look for the bot in the member list (your company chooses its name). If you cannot see it, it has not been invited in yet — ask your IT contact.
Say your first sentence
In a channel, @ mention it and then type your question:
@CompanyAssistant Can unused annual leave be carried over to next year?
Most companies set it up so that it only replies when it is mentioned, so that it does not
cut into ordinary chat. When you are talking to it in a thread you started, you usually only
have to @ it in the first message; after that you do not need to.
Once it replies, keep following up in the same place.
Way in 3 · LINE
Find it
On your phone, add the official account your company gave you as a friend (scan the QR code or search for the ID — your company will give you these). After that it is just another conversation in your LINE contacts.
Say your first sentence
Type and send, the same as messaging a colleague. LINE is one-to-one here, so there is
nobody to @.
Way in 4 · Slack
Find it
Look for the bot in the apps area on the left of Slack, or type its name into the search box.
Say your first sentence
Either works:
- Direct message it — find its DM and type.
@it in a channel — it replies inside the same thread, so it does not flood the channel. If it has not been invited to that channel it will not respond; ask the channel admin to add it.
How the web app differs from the chat apps
| Web | Discord / LINE / Slack | |
|---|---|---|
| Picking who to talk to | You click a row in the left column; Nova and every specialist Agent are there | Your company decides which Agent that bot maps to, so there is nothing to pick |
| Identity | You are already signed in, so it knows who you are | The first time, you confirm once with your company email |
| Files it produces | An attachment card appears in the conversation; download it directly | You get a download link that expires |
| Quoted documents | You can expand the quoted passages | Usually a text answer only |
How you know it worked
- Web: at least one Agent is visible in the left column, and you can type in the input box after clicking into it.
- After you send your first sentence, three bouncing dots appear, then a reply.
- Discord / LINE / Slack: the bot replied to you (the first reply may be a request to confirm your identity — that counts as working).
Common problems
| Symptom | Cause / fix |
|---|---|
| The left column on the web reads 「目前沒有可對話的 Agent。」(There are no Agents available to chat with.) | Nobody has given you access yet. Ask your company’s IT contact. |
| A line at the top of the web page reads 「還沒有任何專責 Agent…」(No specialist Agents yet…) | Your company has installed only the Chief Brain and has not built any specialist Agents. Nova can still answer general questions. |
| The bot is online in Discord but does not reply | Your message did not @ it, or this channel is not one your company allows. Try @ mentioning it once. |
| One question in LINE gets two replies, one of which looks canned | The official account’s auto-reply is still on. Report it to your IT contact. |
@ mentioning it in a Slack channel does nothing |
The bot has not been invited to that channel. Ask the channel admin to add it, or use a direct message instead. |
| After I refresh the web page, the conversation I just had is gone | Conversations in the web app are not kept on screen; refreshing or switching Agents starts over. Copy any answer that matters to you first. |
| I do not know which ways in my company opened | Ask your company’s IT contact. The four ways in are set up separately, and you do not automatically get all of them. |
